This was not awful. I just could not get into it. It read very monotone for one, lots of (and then’s).It was also hard to decipher which person it was in or at all I got confused a lot over who’s words actions or thought were who’s.The verbiage and dialogue were also not very organic feeling and even with the paranormal mate bond this seemed to be moving to rapidly.I did read out of sequence starting with this book as it popped up in my book suggestions. But I don’t think reading the others would have helped me get into this.It had very good reviews so maybe it’s just a me thing. May others seemed to really enjoy the story but I just could not settle into it, it did not grip me.
